Job description

Halliday Marx have partnered with an exceptional boutique asset management firm to hire an Assistant Management Accountant on an interim basis for 9 months.

Day rate £180-£200 per day

Hours are 9-6

This role is fully office based

This role is likely to become permanent

Responsibilities

  • Monthly journals, prepayments & accruals, loan apportionment, intercompany recharges, depreciation & amortisation, etc.
  • Monthly bank reconciliations. Daily posting of bank transactions to GL
  • Group loan debtor analysis and present unresolved variances to the management accountant
  • Assisting in the preparation of the monthly management accounts
  • Posting transactions to the group fixed asset registers
  • Preparation of vat returns and payroll
  • Posting invoices, assign cost approvers, chasing aged debt, resolving billing queries
  • Adhoc analysis of the P&L/Balance sheet

Requirements

  • 2 years of finance experience within a small company
  • Experience with a small accounting system (Xero, Quickbooks, Sage 50 etc)
  • Experience with accruals & prepayments
  • Excellent double entry bookkeeping skills
  • Reconciliations experience
