Job description

RM Recruit are delighted to be working with an excellent organisation based in Keele who are actively seeking a confident Assistant Management Accountant to join their team on a full-time, temporary basis for 3 months with the scope for this role to be extended. Our client can offer a flexible, hybrid working arrangement with the office presence set at once per week. The ideal candidate will be immediately available or available on short notice.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain further experience in management accounting and support key financial processes during a busy period.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
  2. Support budgeting and forecasting processes
  3. Perform variance analysis and provide commentary
  4. Assist with accruals, prepayments, and journal entries
  5. Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain supporting schedules
  6. Help improve and streamline finance processes
  7. Liaise with internal departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
  8. Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support as required
Person Specification
  1. Part-qualified (AAT/ACCA/CIMA) or working towards qualification
  2. Previous experience in a finance or accounting role, ideally within management accounts
  3. Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
  4. Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
  5. Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
  6. Good communication skills and a team player
