About The Role:

As an Assistant Management Accountant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the finance team with day-to-day accounting tasks and month-end processes. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Accurately coding and posting a high volume of invoices to journals, ensuring correct allocation and supporting month-end reporting.
  • Performing basic reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Assisting with routine bank reconciliations to maintain up-to-date cash flow records.
  • Following established finance processes and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Working confidently within finance systems and Excel to manage and analyse data.
Experience & Qualifications:
  • Experience in a transactional finance role is essential.
  • Currently studying AAT Level 3 or equivalent.
Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handling.
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow into a management accounting role.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and follow processes.
  • Comfortable using finance systems and intermediate Excel skills.
  • A mindset that values aptitude and attitude over experience – we’re looking for someone eager to develop and there will be opportunities to do so.
