Job summary

Michael Page are supporting a Hull-based client in recruiting an Assistant Management Accountant on a permanent basis. The role suits a proactive, motivated individual who wants to develop their accounting skills within a close-knit team and pursue long-term progression in finance.

You will assist with month-end, accruals and reconciliations, support year-end close and audits, and work with Finance Business Partners to analyse financial information.

Qualifications

• Experience in month-end accounts in an Accounts Assistant/Assistant Accountant/Assistant Management Accountant role.
• Motivated to progress and grow in the finance industry.
• Currently studying or intending to pursue ACCA/CIMA studies.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support in the preparation of month end management and financial accounts.
• Assist with accruals, prepayments, payroll journals.
• Balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Work with Management Accountants and Finance Business Partners in analysis of financial information.
• Contribute to improving processes and procedures.
• Help maintain compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Profile

A successful Assistant Management Accountant should have:

• Gained similar experience in month end accounts in an Accounts Assistant, Assistant Accountant or Assistant Management Accountant role
• Motivated to progress, develop and grow in the finance industry
• Actively studying or wanting to pursue ACCA, CIMA studies
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with accounting software and tools.
• The ability to work collaboratively and meet deadlines.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and improving processes.

Job Offer

• Salary ranging from £30,000 to £35,000, dependent on the level of experience.
• Hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 days at home after training)
