Job summary

Agora Talent Ltd is hiring an Assistant Management Accountant for a growing health and wellness consumer brand in London. You will own transactional finance while supporting month-end close, reporting and financial controls in a small two-person team.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will manage AP, assist payroll, reconcile key accounts and contribute to board-ready reporting. London-based, 3 days a week in the office.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in broad transactional finance with month-end focus.
• Solid knowledge of double-entry accounting.
• Strong Excel skills; experience with cloud accounting software / ERPs.
• Retail / consumer / e-commerce experience is a plus.
• Desirable payroll processing experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage AP ledger and process supplier invoices.
• Raise customer invoices and monitor balances.
• Support payroll data and monthly payroll processing.
• Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare accruals, prepayments and journals for month-end close.
• Monitor cash balances and support cash flow reporting.

Are you a hands-on finance professional who enjoys owning the day-to-day detail, but wants more exposure to month-end and management accounting?

A growing consumer brand in the health and wellness space is looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join its small finance team.

The business sells through its own website, online marketplaces and retail partners, and expects turnover growth of 40–50% this year. It’s an exciting point to join as the brand broadens its product range and builds a stronger presence across channels.

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you’ll have a broad role in a two-person team. You’ll take responsibility for transactional finance while supporting financial controls, reporting and the month-end close. There’s also the chance to work across the business and contribute to reporting prepared for the Board.

What will you be doing?

• Managing the AP ledger, processing supplier invoices and matching inventory invoices to purchase orders
• Raising customer invoices, monitoring outstanding balances and supporting credit control
• Gathering payroll data and supporting the accurate processing of monthly payroll
• Reconciling bank accounts, merchant channels and key balance sheet accounts
• Preparing accruals, prepayments and journals as part of the month-end close
• Monitoring cash balances and supporting weekly cash flow reporting
• Working with teams across the business to keep financial information accurate and up to date

What would we love to see from you?

• 2+ years experience in a broad transactional finance/month-end focussed role
• Solid knowledge of double-entry accounting
• Strong Excel skills and experience using cloud accounting software/ERPs
• Consumer, retail, wholesale or e-commerce experience would be a plus
• Desirable - experience with payroll processing (employee benefits, P45s, etc)

Location: London (3 days per week in the office)
