This is an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Management Accountant with Accounts Payable and Receivable experience to join our fabulous finance team, who play a pivotal role in supporting our creative colleagues in understanding and improving their numbers.
We're on the lookout for a team player, excel whizz, who loves producing accurate accounts and analysis, from which important data driven decisions are made.
The Job
Supporting our Finance Manager in producing the monthly management accounts, forecasts, budgets, sales and other business critical analysis. You will be a team player, supporting finance colleagues in processing complex sales and purchase invoices across our multiple marketing services. You will also love helping our client facing teams to be more commercial, assisting them in their forecasts, invoicing and queries.
You will be responsible for managing your workload, organising and prioritising work to meet financial deadlines.
On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for the following;
- Assisting in the production of the Monthly Management Accounts
- Variance analysis of P&L and Balance Sheet
- Assisting with the production of annual Budgets
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Processing month end Journals
- Supporting the forecasting preparation
- Reviewing cash allocation and bank reconciliations
- Ensuring all AR & AP tasks are completed on time
- Performing analysis on sales, utilisation, client profit and other KPIs
- Assisting with tax and VAT returns
- Contributing to the team's drive to automate & improve processes, implement new systems and enhance existing systems to simplify and speed up processing
The Person
The role requires someone with attention to detail, deadline oriented, who will hold colleagues to account on the completion of their tasks to facilitate timely invoicing and management accounts preparation. We're a busy and productive team, who support one and other, so it's important we find someone who will take ownership of tasks, work proactively and shares our passion for improving processes & systems.
We're looking for someone who will develop great working relationships with our lovely PR, Digital, Creative, Design and Marketing colleagues and support them in achieving their KPIs. Also, someone who is super accurate and able to investigate financial variances and anomalies.
You should be an excel whiz, experienced in using accounting systems and other Microsoft Office products such as SharePoint, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience of time management software and implementing new systems would also be a bonus.
