Description
We are seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join our finance team. You will work closely with our Finance Manager to produce monthly management accounts for key clients, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flows. Responsibilities include raising client invoices in accordance with contracts and collaborating with operational teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing financial statements such as P&L accounts, cash flows, variance analysis, and commentaries.
  • Support contract setup within the ERP system.
  • Lead monthly client invoicing processes.
  • Perform bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure costs are accurately allocated to specific jobs.
  • Maintain the accuracy of the Fixed Asset register.
  • Perform general finance duties as required.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Studying towards AAT, first-year Chartered (ACCA/CIMA), or relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to ask questions.
  • Strong computer skills, especially Excel.
  • Flexibility to support workload fluctuations, particularly at month-end.
  • Construction/contract accounting experience is desirable but not essential.
