The Cinnamon Care Collection is an exclusive group of luxury care homes and retirement developments occupying beautiful locations around the country. The group continues to experience significant growth and is now looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join the finance team in this fast-paced and dynamic environment. Currently working from home with the possibility of hybrid working at a later date.The role will entail supporting the Management accountants in the preparation of the Monthly Management Accounts of all 19 operating homes.

Key responsibilities

  • Preparing, reconciling, and posting prepayments, fixed assets, petty cash and Caxton, holiday pay accruals across all homes.
  • Posting wages and salary journals across all homes.
  • Uploading sales invoices to Netsuite
  • Checking and uploading IPA
  • Reconciling billable extras
  • Reclass food cost report
  • Assisting in the review of the management accounts and highlighting any anomalies
  • Adding comments for selected homes in the management accounts.
  • Other adhoc. duties as required.

The ideal candidate should:

  • Be someone who thrives in a complex, growing, multi-site environment
  • Have excellent organisational and time management skills, and be a strong problem-solver
  • Be positive and enthusiastic, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Have a good understanding of accounting processes and business requirements
  • Have experience in a multi-site environment and able to build strong relationships with off-site teams
  • Be adaptable to change as the business grows
  • Used to working to deadlines
  • Have excellent Excel and IT skills
  • You will need 1 years all round accounts experience (including accounts payable), and be studying for AAT/ACCA/ACA/CIMA
