Syme Drummond is delighted to be partnering exclusively with The NWH Group, one of Scotland’s leading recycling and waste management businesses. Currently in a period of growth, they are expanding their finance team and now have an opportunity for an Assistant Management Accountant to play a hands-on role in supporting accurate, timely information that guides key operational decisions across a fast-paced, multi-site organisation.

This is a varied and practical role, ideal for someone who is part-qualified or experienced in management accounts, with a desire to grow and develop in a supportive, values-led team.

Responsibilities
  • Month-end close tasks including journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
  • Producing management accounts with clear variance analysis and commentary
  • Reporting and analysis across sales, costs, and operational KPIs
  • Supporting budgets, forecasts and audit preparation
  • Partnering with managers to explain financial information and support decisions
