Job Description:

We are currently working with a market-leading manufacturing company based in Stockport. We are hiring an Assistant Management Accountant to join a dynamic team on a 12-month fixed-term contract basis.

Based in Cheadle, the Assistant Management Accountant supports the finance team by maintaining accurate and timely information in our systems, assisting in internal reporting and financial control.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist the Finance Director with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Support the Management Accountant and other finance team members as needed.
• Handle accruals and pre-payments.
• Assist with balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support Asset Based Lender processes.
• Help prepare VAT submissions.
• Organize events and manage office duties.
• Perform ad-hoc tasks as required.

Experience:

• Degree or AAT Level 3 or higher qualification is essential.
• At least 3 years of experience in an accounting role.
• Understanding of month-end processes.
• Strong MS Excel skills are essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
• Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Openness to learning.
