Job summary

Vp plc seeks an Assistant Management Accountant to join our Shared Services Centre. You will help produce management accounts to required standards and timetables, own balance sheet reconciliations, and support treasury activities within a busy finance team.

You will work with SSC and group functions to improve controls and processes, study ACCA/CIMA, and develop Excel skills; we value attention to detail, initiative, and a proactive, collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• Studying towards ACCA/CIMA or other financial qualification.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, in particular Excel.
• Previous experience in a finance environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in producing management accounts to required standards and timetables.
• Assist with monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including bank reconciliations.
• Responsible for treasury functions, including processing expense claims and payments.
• Review and support improvements to finance processes and controls.
• Collaborate with SSC and group functions to resolve queries and implement solutions.

Join our dynamic team as an Assistant Management Accountant in our Shared Services Centre, where you'll play a pivotal role in optimising financial operations and charting a course for success in the world of finance.,

• Assisting the team in the production of the management accounts, ensuring they are produced to the standards required and within published timetables.
• Assisting with the preparation and full documentation of assigned monthly balance sheet reconciliations including full ownership of the bank reconciliation process.
• Responsible for the treasury function, including processing of all forms of expense claim submissions and payment requests.
• Ongoing reviewing, suggesting improvements, and assisting in the implementation of changes to the processes and controls around all aspects of finance.
• Working with other SSC functions across our group to resolve queries and to implement solutions to prevent repetition.
• Contribute on key projects within the Finance Team, SSC and the Group as directed.
• Building and maintain effective relationships with operational teams and other SSC and group functions.
• Demonstrate a flexible, proactive and professional attitude to all areas of work, supporting both team and individual initiatives in a positive manner.
