We're looking for a proactive and detail-focused finance professional to support our management accounting and reporting activities. In this role, you'll contribute to the delivery of accurate month-end financials, including journal postings, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations. You'll also manage general accounts administration, purchase and sales ledger processes, credit control, and bank transactions-ensuring financial integrity and compliance at every step.

You'll collaborate closely with internal teams and external suppliers to mitigate financial and cashflow risks, oversee one-off payment transactions, and uphold quality standards aligned with regulatory and audit requirements. With a strong focus on continuous improvement, you'll play a key role in maintaining robust financial controls and supporting the wider Finance Shared Services team in delivering timely and accurate vendor payments and customer invoicing.

What will I be doing?

• Contribute to month-end close activities, including journal postings and accruals.
• Reconcile and analyse balance sheet accounts, resolving discrepancies with accuracy and care.
• Manage core finance operations such as accounts payable, receivable, credit control, and bank transactions.
• Collaborate with the management accountant and suppliers to maintain strong financial relationships.
• Partner with the wider finance support services team to ensure timely vendor payments and customer invoicing.
• Perform control checks to ensure compliance with internal processes and the Group risk and control framework.
• Oversee one-off payment transactions and mitigate financial or cashflow risks with external partners.
• Ensure all activities meet quality, regulatory, and audit standards, while promoting continuous improvement.

What do I need?

Capability, Knowledge and Experience:

• Proven experience in a similar fast-paced finance or accounting environment
• Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent experience
• Strong technical accounting expertise with a keen eye for detail
• Confident communicator with excellent verbal, written, and report writing skills
• Demonstrated ability to build and manage effective relationships across all levels
• Proficient in accounting systems such as NAV, Sage 200, SAP, or Trintech
