We are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Maitre d’ to join the team of our stunning private members’ club Annabel’s, located at 46 Berkeley Square, part of The Birley Clubs.

Annabel’s at 46 Berkeley Square covers 26,000 square feet and features five restaurants, bars, private dining rooms, and a cigar salon. Our team of world-class chefs, sommeliers, and mixologists have curated exceptional menus, cocktails, and wine lists. We source seasonal ingredients, wines, and spirits to craft unique dining and drinking experiences.

As Assistant Maître d’, your responsibilities include ensuring top-tier service for members and guests, greeting and seating guests, communicating dietary requirements and special requests to the relevant team members, and liaising with floor staff and the Maître d’ team during service to maintain excellence. You will also handle reservations and ensure booking procedures are followed.

Key responsibilities include:

• Greeting and seating guests warmly and professionally
• Communicating guest preferences and dietary needs effectively
• Collaborating with the Maître d’ and floor staff to uphold service standards
• Managing reservations according to club procedures
• Being proactive during service to anticipate and meet guest needs
• Providing personalized service aligned with private club standards
• Maintaining knowledge of club offerings, menus, events, and guest preferences
• Providing administrative support and maintaining communication accuracy

Ideal candidate profile:

• Experience in a similar Assistant Maître d’ or high-end restaurant reception role
• Experience in premium customer service environments
• Passion for hospitality and guest satisfaction
• Highly organized, motivated, and capable of multitasking
• Confident communicator, both in person and on the phone
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Strong administrative skills and proficiency in English
• Elegant presence on the restaurant floor
• Familiarity with reservation systems like SevenRooms (preferred)
• Team-oriented, calm, and solution-focused attitude
