What will I be doing?

As an Assistant Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for all maintenance issues within the hotel, including daily maintenance checks and repairing mechanical equipment to ensure an excellent Guest and Member experience. You will coordinate renovation projects and develop emergency programs. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Perform daily checks around the hotel
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair mechanical and electrical equipment within the hotel
  • Respond to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing emergencies
  • Liaise with and direct on-site contractors
  • Ensure good relationships with internal and external customers
  • Maintain hotel fixtures and fittings in safe condition and address unsafe situations
  • Manage a small team to ensure tasks are completed to high standards
  • Develop, implement, and oversee emergency and energy conservation programs
  • Manage departmental budgets
  • Coordinate renovation projects, oversee contractors to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness
  • Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
  • Ensure health and safety standards are met, including safety inspections and employee training
What are we looking for?

An Assistant Maintenance Manager at Hilton represents our brand and works on behalf of our guests and team members. To succeed, you should possess:

  • Advanced knowledge of building management/engineering
  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills
  • Knowledge of ventilation systems/HVAC, BMS, fire safety, and legionella controls
  • Experience in planning and coordinating projects
  • Good people management and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Customer service commitment
  • Excellent grooming standards
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Previous management experience

Preferred qualifications include vocational training in engineering, hotel industry experience, and First Aid certification.
