Job summary

Bimplus in London is seeking an Assistant M&E QS to join our expanding team on commercial fit-out, data centre and bespoke high-end residential projects up to £5m. The role offers hands-on support from a Commercial Director and a clear growth path toward a Project QS position.

Open to candidates currently studying their degree, with postgraduate exposure preferred. You will focus on CVRs, cash flow forecasting, subcontractor accounts and final accounts as you develop professionally.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost value reconciliations (CVRs).
• Forecast cash flow and manage project cash requirements.
• Manage subcontractor accounts and payments.
• Negotiate variations and settle final accounts.
• Procurement of specialist M&E subcontractors.
• Prepare monthly project cost reports for Directors meetings.
• Prepare monthly valuations and the final project account.

Job description

I am currently working with a growing M&E Contractor based in London who are looking to recruit an additional Assistant M&E QS to their team. Projects typically fall within the commercial fit out, data centre and bespoke high end residential sectors valued up to £5m.

With a solid order book for 2026 & 2027 they are entering a growth period where this role will give opportunity to develop and step into a Project QS role over the coming years.

You’ll have the hands on support from a dedicated Commercial Director who has a proven track record for developing teams.

Open to the idea of taking someone who is currently studying their degree but ideally post graduate level with some experience within the M&E field.

Duties will include:

• Cost Value reconciliations (CVRs)
• Cash Flow forecasting
• Management of subcontractor accounts
• Negotiation of variations, calculations & settlement of final accounts
• Procurement of specialist Mechanical and Electrical Sub-Contractors
• Managing monthly project cost reports in time for monthly Directors meetings
• Preparation of monthly Project Valuations and preparation of Project Final Account
