Wates Group is seeking an Assistant Land & Planning Manager to join our Developments team in Leatherhead.

The role involves supporting the projects team in land allocation or planning consent processes, adding value to the company’s land and property portfolio.

About the Role

As our Assistant Land & Planning Manager, you will:

  • Support, manage, and implement strategies to protect the company's interests, ensuring deliverability and contractual compliance.
  • Conduct financial assessments to evaluate site viability and support business reporting.
  • Keep your line manager informed about progress, budget changes, and potential risks.
  • Engage with local communities and public stakeholders in land promotion activities.
  • Represent Wates Developments professionally when promoting land or securing planning permissions.

About You

  • Knowledge of the UK residential planning system.
  • Understanding of the residential development market.
  • Familiarity with residential appraisal systems.
  • Basic knowledge of legal contracts.
