A leading university in the UK is inviting applications for the role of Assistant Laboratory Technician (Teaching). This role will support undergraduate practical teaching in the Faculty of Science, ensuring a smooth running of sessions and providing essential assistance across labs. The position is full-time for 36 weeks per annum with a salary of £23,881, offering a variety of benefits including 34 days annual leave.
Salary on appointment will be £23,881 per annum (pro rata).

Applications are invited for the post of Assistant Laboratory Technician (Teaching) to assist in the preparation and clearing of undergraduate practical teaching sessions. Working within the busy undergraduate laboratories in the Faculty of Science, the focus of these posts will be supporting the Schools of Biological Sciences and Environmental Sciences. You will help in all activities to necessitate the smooth running of the undergraduate sessions and also provide general help across the Faculty of Science when required.
Key duties of the role include:
You will have a minimum of 5 GCSE passes (or equivalent qualification) at grade A – C including Mathematics, Science and English and previous experience in a customer focussed / service provision role. Good housekeeping skills will also be essential for this post.
These on-site posts are available on an indefinite basis. You will work 36 weeks a year between mid-September and mid-May, 36.25 hours per week.
