The Role:

• Assisting with the management of the school’s IT network and systems
• Leading on IT troubleshooting, security, and upgrades
• Supporting staff and students with IT solutions across departments

Qualifications

• IT-related degreeor equivalent vocational certification (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft Fundamentals)
• Safeguarding training(desirable, or willingness to obtain)
• Active Directory/Office 365user/group management and Azure AD integration
• Network infrastructuremaintenance (TCP/IP, DHCP, wireless systems)
• Educational environment experience(or transferable sector skills)
• Group Policyconfiguration and troubleshooting
• Helpdesk systemsfor task prioritization and resolution tracking
• Backup solutions(e.g., VEEAM) and disaster recovery testing

Key Responsibilities

• Onsite IT leadership: Primary contact for staff/student technical issues
• Infrastructure upgrades: Assist with WIFI rollouts and hardware refresh cycles
• Apprentice supervision: Delegate tasks and provide skills mentoring
• Asset management: Maintain inventory and WEEE-compliant disposals
• KCSIE compliance: Ensure filtering/monitoring systems protect students
