Assistant IT Manager required. Our client is an independent family business based in Central Bristol. They are a “household” name in the motorcycle sector and have established retail, wholesale, and e-commerce offerings built over almost 100 years of trading.

The successful candidate will be joining over 140 colleagues as part of a friendly team with supportive management.

Position Overview

• Working closely with the IT Manager supporting implementation of new systems and maintaining & improving the current environment
• Supporting the management and development of IT engineers
• Supporting the day-to-day operation and maintenance
• To identify problems or areas for improvement
• Troubleshooting hardware and software issues
• Creating and running reports with SQL developer
• Solid network troubleshooting and configuration of switches routers, firewalls and Wi-Fi.

Position Requirements

• Prior experience working in a 3rd line role
• MCSE/MSCA or other related microsoft certificates
• Strong knowledge in Active Directory, Group Policy and DNS
• Microsoft 365 knowledge
• Network troubleshooting and configuration experience
• Experience with Windows and Unix-like operating systems
• SQL knowledge – desirable
• Web integration experience in to back-end databases – desirable
• Strong communication skills with an appetite for learning

Position Remuneration

• Monday to Friday
• Salary £32,000 – 38,000 (dependant on experience)
• Company pension scheme & Life insurance scheme
