Job Description

Company Overview - My client is a consultancy that specialises in civil engineering design for new residential developments, including Sustainable Drainage Systems, Foul and Surface water sewer design/strategies, Flood Risk Assessments, Highways, House/Garage levels, and private drainage. They serve a wide range of clients, including large housing developers, with projects ranging from 10 to 7000 units across the South West of England and South Wales.

Job Overview - The role involves supporting Engineers in producing civil engineering design packages for Planning applications and Tender packages. This includes private drainage design and plot level design.

The work will involve using software such as Site 3D (highways/SuDS) and Flow (drainage/sewers). With guidance, the candidate should be able to progress to designing all aspects of proposed developments, managing applications, and interfacing with clients. Over time, the role will evolve into managing own projects with reduced supervision from an engineer.

Attributes Required

1. Competent with AutoCAD.
2. Knowledge of WinDES / Site 3D / Flow is advantageous but not essential.
3. Motivated to work with and learn from a team of experienced civil engineers.
4. Ability to manage own workload, use initiative, and complete designs to a high standard.
5. Excellent communication skills for client interactions when required.
