Job description

My client, a market leading multidisciplinary Engineering and Environmental Consultancy, is searching for an Assistant Hydraulic Modeller to join their innovative Water team based in Bristol.

It is essential that applicants have a strong BSc and/or MSc in a related discipline (Environmental Engineering, Hydrology, Environmental Management or River Basin Dynamics) and have experience completing Hydraulic Modelling using Tuflow or flood modeller.

Applicants are also required to have an awareness of Flood Risk Policy, nutrient neutrality and climate change.

It is also beneficial for applicants to reside locally and have experience completing Flood Risk Assessments.

Typically the role will involve the following;

-Flood Risk Assessments.

-Surface Water Management Plans.

-Hydraulic Modelling and model build using Tuflow and flood modeller.

-Drainage Strategy.

-Natural Flood Management and Neutrient Neutrality Assessments.

-Calculations, Reports and Surveys.

-Frequent liaison with Private Sector Clients, Contractors and Business Associates.
