Position: Assistant HR Business Partner – Wellbeing

Location: Wakefield (with national travel)

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (40 hours per week)

Salary: Up to £36,000 per annum + £4,000 car allowance or company car

About the role

The Assistant HR Business Partner - Wellbeing is responsible for coordinating and supporting the delivery of wellbeing initiatives across contracts in the North East, Yorkshire, Humber, Northern Ireland, and Scotland. The role involves monitoring wellbeing activities for compliance, supporting mental health strategies, and leading wellbeing campaigns and training.

Key responsibilities
  1. Coordinate and empower Wellbeing Champions and Mental Health First Aiders across regions.
  2. Plan and deliver wellbeing activities, campaigns, and training, tracking participation and outcomes.
  3. Support wellbeing during critical incidents, working with HR Business Partners.
  4. Gather and analyze wellbeing data to identify trends and evaluate programmes.
  5. Collaborate with HR and operational leaders to embed wellbeing into the people strategy.
Role criteria
  • Proven HR experience with a focus on employee wellbeing and engagement strategies.
  • Certification in Mental Health First Aid.
  • Excellent project coordination and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage data, evaluate effectiveness, and suggest improvements.
  • Confident working with dispersed teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel nationally.
