Assistant HR Business Partner

Location: Barry

Salary: £14.17 - £15.43 per hour (DOE)

Hours: Monday – Friday, full-time

Duration: Temporary role for up to 12 months

Our client in Barry is looking for an Assistant HR Business Partner to join their team on a temporary basis.

  • Knowledge of HR operational practices and processes
  • Excellent customer service skills
Responsibilities
  • Support HR Business Partners in delivering high-quality HR support across the business.
  • Participate in disciplinary, capability, and grievance procedures as appropriate.
  • Assist managers with managing sickness absence cases, ensuring timely actions in line with organizational policies, and provide support and development.
  • Support the organization of HR workshops to advise and guide managers on policy application.
  • Promote effective employee relations, including supporting consultations and negotiations with trade unions.
  • Assist in implementing employment legislation and organizational development initiatives.
  • Support case administration for disciplinary, capability, and grievance issues, including preparing documentation and attending meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection requirements.
  • Maintain effective communication and engagement with staff, stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Support organizational development projects as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Implement environmental and equal opportunity policies.
  • Comply with health and safety legislation and report safeguarding concerns promptly.
  • Perform other duties as reasonably required by the Chief Officer.
