We have an opportunity for an Assistant Housing Officer to join our team, based in Dundee. The main purpose of this role is to support the delivery of a high quality housing service that meets the identified needs of our customers in accordance with the Sanctuary in Scotland business plan.

The role of Assistant Housing Officer will include:

  • Processing housing applications and shortlisting
  • Drafting tenancy agreement documentation and completing all paperwork associated with home visits
  • Liaising with tenants, responding to enquiries and complaints
  • Working with customers to resolve issues and improve services
  • Preparing correspondence in relation to void properties
  • Communicating with external agencies, residents and staff regarding tenancies
  • Raising purchase orders and ensuring the completion of cash sheets
  • Processing all admin functions

Skills and experiences:

  • Literacy and numeracy equivalent to Scottish National 5 & SVQ2 in relevant area
  • Experience working in social housing management
  • Recent experience within a customer service environment or administrative position
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative, with fast changing requirements
  • Proven experience of working to deadlines and prioritising workloads
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams
