Job summary

The Langham, London is seeking an experienced Assistant Security / Safety Manager to lead a proactive security and safety program within the hotel. You will investigate incidents, train colleagues, manage the security team, coordinate with police and VIPs, and help ensure guest safety while upholding exceptional hospitality standards.

Ideal candidates will have supervisory hotelexperience, strong leadership and excellent problem-solving skills, plus relevant health and safety qualifications or

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a supervisory role within hotels/hospitality.
• Strong managerial and leadership skills with coaching and mentoring experience.
• Excellent investigation and problem solving abilities.
• Good organisational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• First Aid, Personal Licencing, Health and Safety or Food Safety (Level 2 or 3) or teaching qualifications preferable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out and ensure investigations relating to security, loss prevention, safety, criminal and civil matters.
• Report and investigate health and food safety incidents and monitor arising matters.
• Deliver training sessions to hotel colleagues on security, health and safety, food hygiene and environment.
• Manage the security team including feedback, appraisals, recruitment, rosters, time and attendance.
• Control issuing of staff lockers and maintain updated logs.
• Liaise with police, security organisations and other hotels; attend IHSM meetings and distribute security information.
• Assist with VIP visits or events and coordinate with personal security and police as required.
