Salary: Up to £40,000

A leading, highly reputable Main Contractor who specialise in external refurbishment and have worked on a number of larger projects throughout London. They have a strong background and experience in quality repair work to masonry, façade cleaning, window repair and replacement, roofing works, and architectural and ornamental leadwork.

Due to their success and strong turnover whilst delivering outstanding results, they now have an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Health & Safety Manager to join them on a permanent basis, overseeing a range of schemes.

Health and Safety Responsibilities

  1. Ensure health, safety, and environmental legislation, codes of practice are being followed and put in place.
  2. Provide relevant information and support to site teams to complete projects correctly.
  3. Recognise and act on areas for improvement.
  4. Carry out health and safety training.
  5. Undertake site inspections and audits to ensure compliance.
  6. Encourage a positive Health and Safety atmosphere.

Personal Specification & Requirements

  1. Highly motivated with a strong desire to grow within the business.
  2. Good problem solver and able to work with minimal instruction.
  3. Punctual, reliable, and possess good practical skills.
  4. Able to work autonomously on multiple projects.
  5. Relevant working experience in the construction/restoration industry.
  6. Exceptional attention to detail.
