SDC Builders is seeking an Assistant Health & Safety Compliance Inspector to support safety across construction projects in our operating region. The role is ideal for someone starting a career in Health & Safety within construction, with mentoring and development provided.

You will help promote high safety standards, assist project teams, and build practical competence while travelling across our sites. The position offers structured training and career progression within a growing business.

Competenze

• Relevant qualifications or experience in construction/Health & Safety.
• Interest in Health & Safety and a long-term career in this field.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with site teams and contractors.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while also being part of a wider team.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Full UK driving license and willingness to travel across our operating region.

• Support Health & Safety compliance inspections across projects in Oxfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Milton Keynes and surrounding areas.
• Assist with identifying areas for improvement and supporting the continual development of Health & Safety performance.

Assistant Health & Safety Compliance Inspector

SDC Builders is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Health & Safety Compliance Inspector to join our team and support Health & Safety compliance across a range of construction projects throughout our operating region.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in Health & Safety within the construction industry. Whether you have recently completed relevant qualifications or gained some experience on construction sites, we will provide support, mentoring and development to help you grow in the role.

Working alongside experienced colleagues, you will help promote high standards of Health & Safety compliance, support project teams, and contribute to creating safe working environments across our projects.

As Assistant Health & Safety Compliance Inspector, you will:

• Support Health & Safety compliance inspections across projects in Oxfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Milton Keynes and surrounding areas.

About You

We are looking for someone who is keen to learn and develop within a construction Health & Safety role.

Ideally,you’ll have:

• Some experience within construction, Health & Safety, site administration, site supervision, facilities management or a related environment.
• An interest in Health & Safety and a desire to develop a long-term career in this field.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage with site teams and contractors.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• The ability to work independently while also being part of a wider team.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
• A full UK driving license and willingness to travel across our operating region.

Qualifications

• Relevant CSCS card or willingness to obtain one.
• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
• NEBOSH General (or willing to work towards)
• NVQ Level 3 or Level 4 in Occupational Health & Safety.
