Qualifications

  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

  • Ensure ongoing compliance with CDM 2015 and UK Health & Safety legislation.

Job description

We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established, independent contractor operating in the UK renewable energy sector, with a strong track record delivering large-scale solar PV construction and O&M projects across the country. With significant growth in clean energy and a strong pipeline of utility-scale projects, the company is expanding its health and safety function.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Assistant Health and Safety Manager to join a forward-thinking organisation and play a key role in maintaining high HSEQ standards across multiple live sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the safe delivery of solar PV construction and O&M projects
  • Assist with development and implementation of RAMS, audits, inspections, and toolbox talks
  • Promote a proactive safety culture on-site and across teams
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with CDM 2015 and current UK Health & Safety legislation
  • Maintain and update health & safety documentation, including incident reports and performance data
  • Support internal training and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
  • NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or working towards)
  • Experience in construction, civil engineering, or energy/infrastructure projects
  • Working knowledge of UK HSE law and CDM Regulations
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel

Desirable
  • Experience in solar PV, renewables, or utilities
  • TechIOSH, GradIOSH or similar professional affiliation

Due to the nature of the porjects its essential that you have a driving licence and are prepared to travel to various sites as and when required outside of Somerset.
