An excitingopportunity has arisen to appoint an Assistant Headteacher (AHT) from January2027 (or earlier if feasible) in our successful, innovative and inclusiveschool. We are an OfSTED rated goodschool (June 2025) and have an excellent reputation for being highly inclusive.We have had a stable leadership team since opening, with many of our seniorleaders being with us from the first day.
We are lookingfor an AHT with leadership experience and a strong SEND background to set upand lead our brand-new SEND provision as an assessment centre, aiming toprovide whole family needs led assessments for pupils with social andcommunication needs. It is intended thatthe provision will be supported by a multi-disciplinary team of professionalswho will work together with education staff to undertake a range of assessmentsto produce one co-ordinated plan, which involves parents, identifies thepriority outcomes for the child and is supportive of their provision in localschools. Initially in the first year theprovision will test and learn from pupils at Watercliffe Meadow school in orderto build a strong, capable team clear about the range of assessments andsupport they can provide.
