Chiltern Way Academy Wokingham is seeking an exceptional Assistant Headteacher to join our Senior Leadership Team and provide strategic leadership of SEND provision across the academy. This exciting role combines senior leadership responsibilities with oversight of SEND practice, ensuring outstanding educational outcomes and inclusive opportunities for all students.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with National SENDCo qualification and leadership experience.
• Track record of improving outcomes for students with SEND, ASC and SEMH.
• Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams and external agencies.

Responsabilités

• Lead and develop high-quality SEND provision across the academy.
• Drive improvements in teaching, learning and intervention programmes.
• Lead and manage the SEND team, including SENDCos and learning support staff.
• Oversee EHCPs, annual reviews, admissions, access arrangements and tribunals.
• Collaborate with therapists, parents, external agencies and senior leaders.
• Champion inclusive practice and raise standards of achievement for students with SEND.
• Shape the strategic direction of the academy as a member of the SLT.
