Job summary

St Joseph’s RC High School in Greater Manchester is seeking an Assistant Headteacher SENDCo to join the senior leadership team. The role is on a full-time basis with a substantial scale and clear impact on school inclusion and provision for students with additional needs.

The successful candidate will champion the Catholic ethos, drive strategic whole-school improvement, and contribute to the development of the new Resource Provision opening in September 2027.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of whole school leadership and measurable impact.
• Commitment to Catholic ethos and inclusive education.
• Willingness to complete the Creditation qualification for SENDCos (if not already held).

Responsibilities

• Actively lead the Catholic Christian ethos of the school.
