The Role

We are seeking an exceptional Assistant Headteacher for Teaching and Learning to join our Senior Leadership Team. In this pivotal role, you will lead on the school's teaching and learning strategy, working closely with our Associate Assistant Headteacher for staff development to support and empower our colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on the school's teaching and learning strategy
  • Work with the Associate Assistant Headteacher for staff development to help support colleagues
  • Play an integral part in our senior leadership team, contributing to whole-school improvement
  • Lead on continuing professional development (CPD) for our teaching staff

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Significant experience in a leadership role, preferably in a similar educational setting
  • A proven track record of driving improvements in teaching and learning
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A deep understanding of curriculum design and delivery
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for lifelong learning

Desirable Qualities:

  • Experience in leading successful CPD programmes
  • A strong background in data analysis and using evidence-based approaches to inform decision-making
  • Familiarity with the challenges faced by schools in disadvantaged areas

Salary: L14 - L18 (£68,586 - £75,675)
