SCHOOL: Hampreston CE VA First School

HOURS: Full time

SALARY: Leadership Scale L1-4

CLOSING DATE: Friday 16 May 2025 at midday

INTERVIEW DATE: Thursday 22 May 2025

START DATE: 1 September 2025

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Headteacher to join our experienced and capable team at Hampreston CE VA First School, part of Hamwic Education Trust (HET).

We are seeking to recruit an experienced and highly motivated individual who is a strong classroom practitioner to further develop teaching and learning in our school. We are also looking for someone who can lead and manage provision for pupils with SEND; the numbers of children with SEND are below the national average. If you are a teacher who has reached M6 and are looking to progress in your career, please consider visiting us.

The Assistant Headteacher Will Contribute To
  • Formulating the aims and objectives of the school
  • Establishing policies for achieving these aims and objectives
  • Managing staff and resources to that end
  • Monitoring progress towards the achievement of the school’s aims and objectives
  • The assistant headteacher will also have a timetabled teaching commitment of 40%, complying with the teachers’ standards and modelling best practice for others. They may also be required to undertake any duties delegated from the headteacher.
