Job summary

Uppingham Community College invites an enthusiastic Assistant Head teacher to provide inspirational learning for pupils and drive improvements across Personal Development Curriculum, Destinations, ACE Days, Assemblies and Work Experience. You will be an SLT link to Student Council Lead and House System Lead, delivering strategic leadership across the school.

• Proven leadership experience in a secondary school (to drive school-wide improvements).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage staff, students and partners.

Responsibilities

• Deliver strategic leadership across UCC in areas such as Personal Development Curriculum, Destinations, ACE Days, Assemblies and Work Experience.
• Line-manage and develop key leaders to ensure high-quality outcomes for all student groups.
• Act as SLT link to Student Council Lead and House System Lead and participate in school leadership and improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to the UCC Strategic Plan and school-wide priorities.

Uppingham Community College are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, inspiring and highly motivated Assistant Head teacher who will provide inspirational learning experiences for our pupils and be highly committed to improving outcomes for all. Specific areas of responsibility for this role are Personal Development Curriculum, Destinations, ACE Days, Assemblies and Work Experience. In addition you will be the SLT link to our Student Council Lead and House System Lead.,

• To deliver highly effective strategic leadership in a range of areas across UCC.
• To support the UCC vision 'Everyone at UCC thrives' and deliver impact in specific aspects of the UCC Strategic Plan.
• To line manage and develop key leaders at UCC to ensure high quality outcomes for all groups of children.
• Be a proactive member of the SLT, contributing to school leadership, duties, operational priorities and whole-school improvement initiatives as they arise.

Experience:

• Successful leadership experience in a secondary school.
• Experience of leading whole-school initiatives and improvement projects.
