Job summary

Education Experts is seeking an experienced Assistant Headteacher to provide interim leadership in UK primary schools, starting September 2026. The role focuses on teaching and learning improvements, ECT mentoring, and leading English or Maths. DBS and right-to-work checks will be required.

Candidates should hold QTS, have substantial UK primary school experience, and be available from September 2026 for assignments across the West Midlands. Salary ranges from £285 to £315 per day.

Job description

Are you an education expert? We are currently seeking to represent experienced Assistant Headteachers with exceptional skills in primary education. If you are a primary school specialist senior leader who is available from September 2026, we would be keen to speak with you.

We are a Lot 1 Agency Supplier on the GCA Framework and as such, have been approached by multiple Multi Academy Trusts in the West Midlands to begin discussions around interim leadership cover in their primary schools. We have a vested interest in providing support to our West Midlands based schools and education professionals. A relevant UK based teaching (QTS) qualification.

Substantial experience working within a UK based primary school education setting.
