Job summary

Sherwood Foundation School’s senior leadership team is seeking a senior leader with a growth mindset and a passion for supporting our pupils to achieve their full potential.

You will assist the Head of School in overseeing day-to-day running and work effectively as a member of the Senior Leadership Team and wider school colleagues, modelling and delivering the school’s vision and values in practice.

You will also engage with parents and the wider community to raise attainment and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• NPQML or equivalent leadership qualification.
• Experience in developing personalised curriculum for pupils with SEND.
• Successful experience of leading a department.
• Experience of delivering consistently good and outstanding teaching.
• Ability to engage, motivate and manage staff to deliver the school vision.

You will assist the Head of School in overseeing the day-to-day running of the school. You will work effectively as a member of the Senior Leadership Team and wider school teams, demonstrating and articulating the school's vision and values in day-to-day practice.

You will have:

• A National Professional Qualification for Middle Leaders (NPQML), degree, management qualification or equivalent
• A proven track record of developing an appropriate personalised curriculum for pupils with special educational needs, leading to positive academic, personal and social outcomes
• Successful experience of leading a department
• Experience of regularly delivering consistently good and outstanding teaching
• The ability to engage, motivate and successfully manage staff to deliver an established vision, values and aspirations
