Job Title:Assistant Headteacher

Location: Napier School, Farnborough, Hampshire, GU14 6EF

Salary: £45,000.00 per annum (not pro rata)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday, 8.30am-4.30pm

Contract: Permanent, Term Time only

Start: September 2025

About the Role

The Assistant Headteacher will take lead responsibility for ensuring the best possible curriculum offer, provision, well-being, progress and achievement for all pupilsthrough careful monitoring and holding staff to account for the progress their pupils make.

In partnership with our Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team, you willdeliver clear, authentic leadership to ourmultidisciplinary team,establishing school aims and objectives,ensuringhigh levels of quality and compliance andworkingcollaboratively to develop appropriate, individualised programmes of learning for our pupils.

  • Minimum of 2 years experience of working in the same or similar role
  • Experience of Ofsted framework and inspection
  • Experience of working with pupils/young people with Autism Spectrum Condition / Challenging behaviours
  • Experience of managing staff
  • Experience of leading one or more curriculum areas
  • Ability to motivate a team and individuals
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Excellent knowledge of safeguarding procedures
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written

Qualifications

  • QTS or QTLS
  • Nationally Recognised Degree
  • NPQ or working towards
