Pay scale: Leadership Scale L10 – L12

Start date: September 2024

Location: Southwark

Our Southwark Academy is seeking to appoint an exceptional, experienced qualified teacher as SENCO with support for students with SEN.

We would like to hear from you if you have:

• QTS (or equivalent) and a good undergraduate degree
• NASENCO qualification or evidence of working towards it
• Knowledge of national priorities, current curriculum development, and ability to design and implement an innovative curriculum based on students' needs
• Understanding of quality assurance techniques
• Appreciation of student motivation
• Understanding of how professional development raises the quality of SEN experiences in secondary schools
• Successful teaching experience
• Pastoral experience
• Experience working with key stakeholders such as parents, governors, and employers

What the school offers its staff

Our secondary academy is a new school with drive and ambition, located in Southwark. We serve a vibrant 3-19 age student community. The academy boasts excellent transport links and is situated within a purpose-built building nominated for the Stirling Prize for architecture.
