Job description

Assistant Head of Year - long term contract with a view to going permanent.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with pastoral experience who is keen to make a significant contribution to the development of students in a thriving Manchester Secondary School.

We are looking for a resilient and passionate Assistant Head of Year to support pupils achieve their full potential starting in September. If you have pastoral or SEND experience we would love to hear from you.

You will have high expectations as an Assistant Head of Year, supporting students to achieve their full potential academically, socially and emotionally. You will promote excellent behaviour and attendance, acting as a key positive support for students in your year group.

Assistant Head of Year - About the role
* Support students in an emotional, academic and social capacity
* Uphold excellent standards for behaviour and attendance
* Promote the schools values and ethos
* Deal with any safeguarding concerns appropriately and sensitively
* Work with class teachers and senior leaders to support pupils
* Liaise with parents regarding progress
* Encourage and motivate pupils
* Long term position - Start in September
* Paid £105-£115 a day
