Job summary

Ratcliffe College in Leicestershire seeks an exceptional educational leader to join the Preparatory School Senior Management Team as Assistant Head Teaching & Learning. You will steer the curriculum, lead teaching excellence, and support colleagues across the Prep School to ensure high-quality learning from Nursery to Senior School.

The role involves strategic curriculum development, quality assurance, and collaboration with the Head and Deputy Head of Preparatory School.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, implementation and evaluation of the Prep School curriculum.
• Champion excellence in teaching and learning through evidence-informed practice.
• Support and develop subject leaders to ensure outstanding curriculum delivery, assessment and progression.
• Lead quality assurance activities and contribute to school self-evaluation and inspection readiness.
• Drive innovation in curriculum design and educational practice.
• Coordinate staff professional development and lead training initiatives.
• Collaborate across the College to ensure continuity from Nursery to Senior School.
• Contribute strategically as a member of the Prep School Senior Management Team.
• Teach approximately 10 periods per fortnight.
