Aldwark Manor Estate is a privately owned hotel with golf nestled in a picturesque village between York and Harrogate. Set in 200 acres of beautiful countryside, this luxury hotel offers a complete escape for both business and leisure guests and is a popular wedding venue.

The hotel has undergone major renovations recently, including bedrooms, restaurant, lounge, sports bar, and public areas. New spa, leisure facilities, meeting rooms, and additional bedrooms are opening soon, with leisure facilities opening later this year and the new spa, bedrooms, and meeting space opening in 2026.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Spa & Leisure Manager to join our team. This is a new position. The ideal candidate is passionate about the industry and will support the Head of Spa & Leisure in daily operations, working to maximize sales and drive memberships.

Purpose of the role:

To ensure the smooth operation of the Spa & Leisure business alongside the Head of Spa & Leisure.

Main duties include:

• Supporting the Head of Spa & Leisure in daily operations to ensure standards are maintained efficiently and effectively.
• Collaborating on sales and marketing campaigns with departmental heads.
• Ensuring operational procedures, commercial expectations, and codes of conduct are met.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the Spa and Leisure departments.
• Being fully aware of all hotel services and activities.
• Developing an exceptional Spa & Leisure team through effective leadership and management.
• Driving membership sales in line with budgets.
• Participating in Health & Safety and Fire policies, ensuring compliance.
• Adhering to security procedures regarding keys, stock, and property.
• Reporting faults and damages to Maintenance.
• Following safe and hygienic working practices to comply with Health and Safety legislation.
• Managing lost property according to hotel procedures.
• Assisting with team member training.
• Complying with hotel and company rules as outlined in the team member handbook.
• Working with the fitness team to ensure classes are completed professionally.
