The Keyholding Company is the UK's number one keyholding and alarm response specialist, combining deep industry experience with a digitally transformed, tech-enabled approach. We deliver security services with speed, intelligence, and a human touch - and we're growing fast.

With over 1.5 million services delivered each year across the UK, we're known for our flexibility, innovation, and the smart technology that underpins our operations. Our London-based mobile security team plays a huge part in this, and we're now looking for an Assistant Head of London Operations to join our team and help lead the charge.

Based in our Kennington Park office in Southwest London, you'll work closely with the Head of Department to manage our largest operational team of over 70 Mobile Security Officers and their supporting Team Leaders. This is a dynamic and hands-on role where you'll be responsible for supporting daily operations, improving service delivery, and ensuring staff performance, welfare, and compliance are consistently high.

You'll bring structure, empathy, and operational resilience - helping to run our busy city-based service while also contributing to fleet, rota, and stock management, as well as compliance and client care. If you're a confident people leader with experience in logistics or security, and you're ready to roll up your sleeves, we want to hear from you.

What you get:

  • Salary £35,000-£40,000 p.a. (dependent on experience)
  • Full-time, permanent contract: 11am-7pm, Monday to Friday, with 1 weekend day per month (weekday off in lieu). On occasion, you may be asked to support our night operations team with an evening or night shift - this will always be communicated in advance and any additional hours will be returned as time off in lieu.
  • Auto-enrolment into our salary sacrifice pension scheme, 24/7 confidential Employee Assistance Program, and a voluntary health cash scheme starting at £1 per week.
  • Regular TKC social events and team days
  • A real opportunity to grow and make an impact in a fast-paced, tech-forward company

You'll be (but not limited to):

  • Assist the Head of Department with HR tasks including recruitment, staff welfare, enrolling new starters, performance reviews, disciplinary investigations, welfare checks, and monitoring staff performance.
  • Responsible of shift scheduling and ensuring patrol routes and assignments are covered efficiently. Contribute to operational planning and delivery of new business mobilisations.
  • Support the maintenance of compliance with legislation (DVLA, H&S, SIA), internal policies, and quality standards. Assist with audits and reviews.
  • Help manage fleet operations, including insurance, fuel, PCN tickets, maintenance, and stock of uniforms, IT, and rider equipment.
  • Support with payroll processing, PCN and equipment deductions, rostering, scheduling, post key handling, and other operational admin tasks.
  • Embrace new systems and tools to enhance team performance and efficiency.
  • Assist in client queries and complaints, ensuring prompt and professional responses.
  • Support Health & Safety compliance, policies, and reporting to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Help coordinate office improvement.

You should apply if:

  • You're a proactive and people-first leader with a passion for operational excellence
  • You're confident managing large teams and rota planning in fast-paced environments
  • You're experienced in handling employee performance, investigations, and welfare cases
  • You bring hands-on experience in operations, ideally within the security or logistics industry (at management level)
  • You're comfortable with tech and digital tools, and not afraid to embrace new systems

Bonus points if you also have:

  • SIA licence
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Experience using large-scale rostering systems
  • Security or HR certifications
