A leading NHS organization is seeking an Assistant Head of Financial Accounting in Cwmbran. The role involves overseeing financial reporting functions and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Ideal candidates will be CCAB qualified with experience at a senior level in a complex organization, possessing strong analytical and leadership skills.
We are seeking to recruit a Assistant Head of Financial Accounting within our Corporate Finance Department working as part of the Financial Services & Accounting Team, based in Cwmbran.
This role will be responsible for the Financial Accounting and Charitable Funds functions of the Health Board. The role haskey responsibilities in the completion of the Monthly Monitoring Returns to Welsh Government and the Statutory Annual Accounts for the Health Board
The successful applicant will lead on the the completion of the Charitable Funds Annual Accounts ensuring financial reporting standards and charity commission guidance are interpreted and followed. The post holder will also be the lead for completing Freedom of Information requests received within the Finance department.
We are seeking a self-motivated, enthusiastic and numerate individual with excellent IT skills. You will be required to work as part of a team and on your own initiative and must be able to demonstrate effective communication skills. Detailed knowledge of Financial Accounting and NHS Charities rules are essential for this position.
The successful applicant must be a qualified member of CCAB/CIMA and have relevant post qualification experience.
