Job description

The Role

We are looking for an Assistant Head of Education on a part time basis to support our Head of Education to ensure every player achieves their academic potential and beyond, providing every opportunity to progress and develop regardless of whether they become a professional footballer.

You will be passionate about education, highly motivated and enthusiastic with a strong commitment to learner achievement and success.

Who We Are

We are one of the most famous clubs in world football, with a rich heritage and history of success – read more about our history, here.

Beyond that, we are passionate about our local community and, behind the scenes, we have a wide variety of opportunities and career paths for all. We have a very defined purpose: to act for a winning team, culture and community. We achieve this by ensuring we are courageous in the pursuit of progress, we champion our community and each other, and that we do the right thing (even when no one is looking).

Your day-to-day

  • Engaging programme delivery - you will support our students on our hybrid programmes, monitoring their progress and providing support where they don’t make expected progress
  • Sustain and build relationships - you’ll liaise with schools across a wide area, building relationships and visiting schools as well as attending Premier League meetings and training events
  • Collaborate with colleagues across our club - you will proactively build strong relationships across our club, working closely with coaches and other multi-disciplinary staff, attending tours and tournaments with teams, as and when required
  • Lead and inspire our players - you’ll lead and develop players in the Academy to achieve their academic goals, striving for opportunity and success

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven experience of teaching - you have a strong background in secondary education; experience in a football club or sports setting is a plus
  • Expertise in education -you are passionate about education with up-to-date knowledge, safeguarding training, and will undergo an enhanced DBS check
  • Dynamic communicator - you can engage confidently at all levels, adapting your style as needed
  • Strive for development - you encourage colleagues and motivate learners of all abilities
  • Outstanding organisational skills - you are excellent at time management and proficient in the key Microsoft applications
  • Flexible and adaptable approach - you're willing to work flexibly with varied hours, travel to schools, and support Academy teams on tours

  • Great internal learning and development programmes
  • A flexible hybrid working model
  • Priority access to apply for match tickets
  • A competitive health and wellbeing benefits package
  • A leading Employee Assistance Programme
  • Great discounts with some of our Partners
