We are seeking an experienced professional to join as an Assistant Head of Department in Construction & Building Services, overseeing Multi-Skills & Trowel Trades. This role provides an opportunity to influence education within a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in managing and developing the curriculum, staff, and resources.
  2. Enhance student outcomes by maintaining high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment.
  3. Support and motivate staff and students to achieve their potential.
  4. Travel between Cambridge and Huntingdon campuses as necessary.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  1. Extensive teaching experience in a Construction-related field.
  2. Knowledge of the Further Education sector and relevant industry skills.
  3. Current Health & Safety knowledge pertinent to the role.
  4. Excellent interpersonal, administrative, and communication skills.
  5. Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  6. Trade qualifications and a teaching certificate such as DET, DTLLS, Cert ED, or PGCE.
  7. Degree in a relevant subject.
  8. QTS qualification.
