Job Description

We are seeking an Assistant Head of Department (Inclusion) to join our Supported Learning Development across three campuses. This full-time role involves working collaboratively with the Head of Department, other Assistant Heads, Lecturers, and Technicians to coordinate activities and embed inclusive practices, especially for students with SEND and High Needs. You will be responsible for implementing personalized curricula, managing staffing, and promoting inclusivity within the department.

Candidate Requirements
  • Strong leadership qualities and experience in SEN
  • High-level pedagogic practice and ability to inspire others
  • Experience in curriculum development and quality assurance
  • Extensive experience working in a SEND department, post-16 preferred
  • Excellent relationship management and staff wellbeing skills
  • Ability to implement reasonable adjustments for inclusion
