Job description

Contribute to the achievement of profitable and sustainable growth as defined by Allianz Trade Group strategy through development and implementation of credit strategy with strong focus on customer centricity.

• Attract new customers by quality of service and credit underwriting decisions.
• Build a trust based relationship with customers, brokers and trade bodies to improve customer portfolio experience

Main Tasks -

• Effectively build, monitor and implement the appropriate Credit Underwriting stance
• Monitor risk in line with Group Quality Standards, manage loss ratios within budget and provide a quality credit service
• Effectively steer the portfolio through quality credit decisions• Lead, manage and develop the Credit Underwriting team in line with talent management and succession planning processes
• Provide quality responses and informed business decisions to customers
• Key contact for large and strategic clients/brokers to ensure the right policy strategy in place keeping loss ratios within tolerance and maximising cover to ensure renewal and new business targets are achieved
• Mange costs within budget & improve customer service & productivity by reassessing procedures and recommending changes
• Actively support Commercial in achieving top line profitable growth
• Develop market and industry presence through interactions with clients, brokers and trade bodies together with being key contributor to marketing content and initiatives.
• Deputise for the Head of Credit Underwriting as appropriate
