Job description

What is the role?

Assistant Head of Creative Industries - London

You'll be responsible for leading our Creative Industries provision with a focus on Music. You'll be based in our recently opened (September 2023) state-of-the-art campus in the heart of East-London, offering Creative Vocational education to the young creatives of the future.

The Assistant Head of Creative Industries is a pivotal role in ensuring, through effective leadership and management, students studying within the curriculum areas have a high-quality learning experience. You will be responsible for the delivery and leadership of learning programmes and delivery teams.

You will also play a major part in supporting and enhancing the learner experience through developing links with industry, employers and external stakeholders and being an ambassador for Access Creative College in the region.

You will be managing creative provision in music therefore a background in this area would be desirable however is not essential.

Who are we?

We are ‘Access Creative College’ (ACC), formerly known as Access to Music, and were founded in 1992. We’re an Ofsted ‘Good’ provider (report here) that reach every corner of the country, with 7 campuses and over 2,500 students nationwide. We are part of Access Education Group which boasts 32 campuses nationwide with over 5,000 students & apprentices across ACC, dBs Institute (Higher Education) & Access Sport.

What do we have to offer?

Salary Scale: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum (plus non contractual bonus scheme)

Contract Type: Permanent

Responsible for: Direct Line Management for those who are part of the teaching and delivery team within your curriculum area of responsibility.

Hours: ACC is not your typical 9 - 5pm role. Whilst the contracted hours are 37.5 hrs this will be managed flexibly across the academic year to reflect the peaks and flows in working in education.
