Zizzi Ristorante in Milton Keynes is seeking an Assistant Head Chef to lead shifts, run the pass, and inspire the team during peak service. You’ll work closely with the Head Chef to mix hands-on cooking with strong kitchen leadership in a fast-paced environment.

This role emphasizes hands-on cooking, coaching junior chefs, maintaining safety standards, and delivering high-quality Italian dishes across dine-in and delivery channels.

Qualifications

• Experience leading kitchen teams and running shifts.
• Ability to balance kitchen and dining floor during busy periods.
• Strong food safety and stock management knowledge.
• Ability to coach and develop junior chefs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the kitchen and run the pass in the Head Chef's absence.
• Deliver exceptional food quality and consistency across dine-in and delivery.
• Support management with stock, labour, prep, and cost control.
• Coach and develop junior chefs and build team confidence.
