Assistant Group Manager-Quantity Surveying

Job Description

Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit an Assistant Group Manager - Quantity Surveying on a permanent basis on a salary of £51,456 - £59,736/annum, excellent holidays and pension scheme. Role offers great work-life balance. This role will be based in Glasgow with hybrid working, working onsite 5 days from 10.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for commercial aspects of projects.
• Managing resources.
• Advising and administering various forms of construction contract.
• Supporting and developing the team and managing external consultants where required.

Essential Skills:

• Educated to a minimum HND level in Quantity Surveying + 5 years minimum experience
• Good computer skills
• Competent in Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to self-manage and to progress multiple submissions in parallel.
• Knowledge of prices and cost planning information
• Knowledge of legal and contractual issues in relation to construction
• Commitment to continuous service improvement.
• Commitment to delivery of high-quality service

Desirable Skills:

• Membership of a relevant professional Institute
• Relevant Degree
• Experience in Masterbill
• Knowledge of public sector processes and protocols.
